Gardenvale railway station is located on the Sandringham line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of Gardenvale opening on 10 December 1906.〔(Gardenvale ) Vicsig〕 The station is located in an unusual position, elevated above the Nepean Highway and Martin Street rail overpasses, with station access from both. Platform 1 has a large weatherboard building, Platform 2 a smaller weatherboard building. On 7 December 2009, the station was severely damaged by a fire which investigators described as "suspicious". The Platform 1 building was badly damaged. The rebuilding works completed in mid-2011 faithfully restored the building. ==Platforms & services== Gardenvale has two side platforms.
